Light of My Life 2011
Light of my life was a 6 week elective taken with RMIT interior design students.
The group focused on The Docklands area – on the edge of Melbourne's CBD. Classes were conducted in various sites, ranging in scale and location.
Students designed an interactive piece that used light as its primary material. The piece was to in some way respond to the disconnect between the CBD and their chosen site.
Thanks to – Adam Carey from Citilum, Rachel Burke, Dave Anderson from Electolight, Mark Trubridge , and Braham Ciddor from Lightmoves, Ai Ogawa from Vic Urban and Karen Woo from Lendlease – whose involvement was invaluable.
Photographs contributed by Yizhou Ma and Aron Hemingway.
